The kids really enjoyed their "smash cakes!" Katie dug right in - Tyler took a minute to figure it out, but once he realized he was actually allowed to make a mess he joined in the fun. They did pretty good at their first birthday party - better than expected actually. Katie took a while to warm up but I feared that we wouldn't even get to give her cake because of screaming. I should have known that icing and cake could get her over her anxiety! Thank you to everyone who came and for all of their great gifts - they are happily entertained with their new toys as I type!!!
